Acceptable Use Policy (Outline)
Last updated: 22 July 2026
This document outlines the rules N4XION plans to apply to its future game server hosting service. It describes the kinds of activities that would be prohibited and the resource limits we expect to enforce once the paid service launches. Nothing here is active yet, and every detail below is subject to final legal review before N4XION accepts payments.
This policy is a pre-launch outline. Final customer terms will be published and reviewed before N4XION accepts payments.
1. Status of this outline
N4XION has not yet selected its final infrastructure, launched a paid service, or accepted any payments. This Acceptable Use Policy is a planned outline shared for transparency. The rules below become binding on customers only when the paid service launches and the final terms are published. Until then, please read this as a statement of intent rather than a contract.
2. Who this will apply to
Once live, this policy is expected to apply to every account holder, to anyone they allow to use their server, and to the content and traffic that passes through services N4XION hosts. Account holders would remain responsible for the activity on their own servers, including the actions of players, guests, and any sub-users they invite.
3. Prohibited content and activities
The following activities are planned to be strictly prohibited on any N4XION service. This list is illustrative, not exhaustive:
- Malware and malicious code — hosting, distributing, or controlling viruses, ransomware, trojans, botnets, keyloggers, or command-and-control infrastructure.
- Network attacks — launching or participating in denial-of-service (DoS or DDoS) attacks, packet floods, amplification or reflection attacks, or stress-testing systems you do not own or have written permission to test.
- Unauthorized access — port scanning, credential stuffing, brute-forcing, exploiting vulnerabilities, or otherwise attempting to access systems, accounts, or data without authorization.
- Illegal content — content that is unlawful under Philippine law, including child sexual abuse material, content that facilitates human trafficking, and other material prohibited by applicable law. Confirmed illegal content is planned to be reported to the appropriate authorities.
- Piracy and infringement — distributing pirated games, cracked software, leaked media, or other material that infringes intellectual property rights, and running servers whose primary purpose is such distribution.
- Harassment and abuse — targeted harassment, threats, doxxing, hate speech, or content intended to intimidate or endanger others.
- Spam and unsolicited messaging — sending bulk unsolicited email or messages, operating open relays, or using N4XION services to support spam campaigns.
- Fraud and deception — phishing pages, fake login portals, scam operations, or other attempts to deceive people into surrendering money or credentials.
- Crypto and resource abuse — using game server resources for cryptocurrency mining, hidden background compute, or other workloads that abuse a hosting plan sold for game servers.
4. Planned resource limits
Game server hosting is a shared environment, so each package is expected to carry defined resource limits that keep one customer from degrading the experience of others. The exact figures will be set per package once infrastructure is selected and tested, but we plan to define limits across the following dimensions:
- CPU — a fair share of processing time per package, with protection against sustained full-core usage that starves neighbouring servers.
- Memory (RAM) — a dedicated allocation per plan, beyond which processes may be throttled or restarted.
- Storage — a disk quota per plan for game files, worlds, and backups kept on the node.
- Disk I/O — reasonable read and write throughput, with limits on abusive or runaway I/O patterns.
- Bandwidth and network — network throughput and data-transfer allowances appropriate to game traffic, with safeguards against non-gaming bulk transfer.
- Database — a bounded number of databases, connections, and query load per plan where database access is offered.
- Processes and connections — sensible caps on concurrent processes, threads, and open network connections to keep nodes stable.
These limits are planned to be published clearly on each package before purchase so customers can choose a plan that fits their needs. All values remain provisional until the service launches.
5. Fair use and shared stability
Beyond the specific limits above, we plan to reserve the right to act on usage patterns that threaten the stability of shared nodes, even if no single limit is exceeded. The goal is a stable, predictable experience for every customer, not to penalise normal gameplay.
6. Copyright and complaint handling
N4XION plans to operate a clear process for intellectual-property complaints. Rights holders would be able to submit a complaint that identifies the material and the affected server. Where a complaint appears valid, we plan to notify the account holder, request removal, and where necessary restrict access to the disputed content. Account holders would have an opportunity to respond, and repeated or serious infringement could lead to suspension or termination. Copyright complaints and other abuse reports are planned to be handled through [email protected].
7. Planned enforcement
When this policy takes effect, we expect enforcement to be proportionate to the severity and urgency of the issue. The planned approach is a graduated one:
- Warning — for minor or first-time issues, we plan to contact the account holder, explain the problem, and give a reasonable chance to fix it.
- Suspension — for serious, repeated, or unresolved issues, a server or account may be temporarily suspended while the matter is reviewed.
- Termination — for the most severe cases, such as illegal content or active attacks, we plan to terminate the account, potentially without prior notice where the law or the safety of others requires immediate action.
Where immediate action is needed to stop an active attack, protect other customers, or comply with the law, we plan to act first and notify the account holder afterwards.
8. Reporting abuse
Once the service launches, anyone who believes an N4XION-hosted server is being used abusively would be able to report it to [email protected]. Reports are planned to be reviewed and, where warranted, acted on under the enforcement process above.
9. Consumer protection context
N4XION intends to operate in a manner consistent with Philippine consumer-protection expectations, including the Internet Transactions Act and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) guidance for online businesses. Final wording of this policy will be reviewed for alignment with applicable law before payments are accepted.
10. Changes to this outline
This outline may change as N4XION selects infrastructure and prepares for launch. The final, binding Acceptable Use Policy will be published and reviewed before N4XION accepts payments. Questions about this outline can be sent to [email protected].
