Backup Policy (Outline)

1. Status of this outline

N4XION has not launched a paid service and is not accepting payments. This backup outline is shared for transparency. It becomes a commitment only when the paid service launches, backup and restore processes are tested, and the final policy is published and reviewed.

2. Planned scheduled backups

We plan to run backups of eligible game servers on a regular schedule once infrastructure is in place and tested. The intent is to capture server data such as world files and configuration at defined intervals, so that a recent copy is usually available if something goes wrong. The exact frequency will be published on the final terms after testing.

3. Planned retention rules

We plan to keep backups for a defined retention period and to rotate older copies out as newer ones are created. Retention is expected to vary by plan and by storage constraints. The specific retention window and number of copies kept will be published once storage and provider choices are finalised, and are not promised today.

4. Planned restore limits

Where restores are offered, we plan to apply reasonable limits so that the feature stays stable for everyone. Planned principles include:

• restores available for backups within the retention window only;
• a reasonable cap on how often self-service restores can be requested;
• restores that overwrite current data, so the customer confirms before proceeding; and
• larger or older restores potentially handled as a manual, best-effort request.

Exact limits will be defined after testing and are not fixed today.

5. Customer responsibilities

Even once backups are offered, customers are expected to remain responsible for keeping their own copies of important data. A hosting backup is a convenience and a safety net, not a substitute for your own records. We plan to recommend that customers:

• keep independent copies of critical worlds, configurations, and files;
• download important data before major changes, migrations, or plan cancellations; and
• verify that their own copies actually restore on their side.

6. Planned exclusions

Some data and situations are expected to fall outside the planned backup scope, including:

• Data outside the covered paths — files stored in locations not included in the backup configuration.
• Very large or rapidly changing data — data that exceeds plan limits or changes too quickly to capture reliably.
• Third-party or external services — data held by external services the customer connects to.
• Corruption written into a backup — if bad data is saved and then backed up, the backup may reflect that state.
• Terminated or suspended accounts — backups may be removed after an account is closed, subject to the final terms.

7. Why backups are not guaranteed yet

A backup is only meaningful if it can actually be restored. Because N4XION has not yet selected a provider or run restore tests, we will not promise that backups exist, are complete, or can be recovered. Guarantees would be misleading until backup creation and restoration are both tested and proven to work.

8. Verification before launch

Before making any backup commitment to paying customers, we plan to test both backup creation and restoration, confirm that restores return a working server, and document the results. Only after these tests pass would a firm backup commitment be published.

9. Relationship to consumer law

This planned policy is intended to sit alongside, not replace, the rights customers have under applicable Philippine law, including the Internet Transactions Act and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) consumer-protection rules. Where the law provides a stronger remedy, that law applies.

10. Changes to this outline

This outline may change as N4XION selects and tests infrastructure. The final, binding Backup Policy will be published and reviewed before N4XION accepts payments. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
