Validation methodologyVERSION POLICY

We will earn every support claim.

N4XION will publish a dated Java and Bedrock compatibility matrix only after we test every listed combination on real infrastructure.

What the future matrix will show

A useful compatibility table needs more than a green check. Every row will identify the edition, server software or loader, game version, required runtime, validation state, last-tested date and known limits.

  • Edition and server software
  • Game and Java/runtime versions
  • Template or image revision
  • Candidate, testing, supported or retired state
  • Last-tested date
  • Known limits and migration notes

Validation sequence

A version moves from candidate to supported only after repeatable checks. A successful boot alone is not enough.

  • Install from a documented template
  • Verify start, stop, restart and crash recovery
  • Connect with the intended client
  • Exercise a representative workload
  • Create and restore a backup
  • Check upgrade and rollback notes
  • Record the environment, date and result

How status language will work

Candidate means we queued the combination for evaluation. Testing means we are still gathering evidence. Supported will mean the documented combination passed the stated checks. Retired means N4XION no longer recommends new deployments. The matrix will state the migration path or explain why none exists.

Current state

We have not published a production version matrix because we do not own the planned game node yet. We do not label any Java, Bedrock, loader, runtime, or crossplay combination as production-supported.
